2026/07 - LS Instruments Joins Postnova Analytics

Date: 30.07.2026

LS Instruments AG is pleased to announce that it is now part of Postnova Analytics. This important milestone opens new opportunities for innovation, international growth and product development while ensuring full continuity for our customers, partners and employees.

Operations will continue unchanged from the company's headquarters in Fribourg, Switzerland, where the existing team will remain focused on developing, manufacturing and supporting LS Instruments' innovative light scattering and microrheology technologies.

A new chapter for LS Instruments

LS Instruments AG is pleased to announce that Postnova Analytics GmbH (Landsberg, Germany) has successfully completed the acquisition of LS Instruments AG.

Following the transaction, LS Instruments will maintain its full operations in Fribourg, Switzerland and continue the development, improvement, manufacturing and support of the company's innovative product portfolio.

LS Instruments has built a strong reputation for providing advanced analytical instruments leveraging light scattering for particle characterization and microrheology applications serving customers in academia, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food, cosmetics and advanced materials.

The acquisition combines the scientific expertise, innovative technologies and dedicated teams of both organizations, creating new opportunities for product development, customer support and international growth, creating the leading light scattering portfolio in the industry.

Gabriel Haering, Chairman of the Board of LS Instruments, commented:

"I am delighted to communicate the successful completion of this transaction. The acquisition represents an important milestone in the history of LS Instruments and provides a strong foundation for future growth. I am particularly pleased that the company will remain in Fribourg and that our highly educated and experienced employees will continue to develop and enhance the innovative products that have established LS Instruments as a recognized leader in light scattering and microrheology technologies."

Gaurasundar Marc Conley, CEO of LS Instruments, added:

"For LS Instruments this is a natural fit. Together, the two portfolios cover the path from fractionated, component-resolved analysis to intact, native sample characterization, with little overlap and significant common ground in light scattering expertise and customer needs. This creates concrete potential for synergies to advance the growth of both organizations. I very much look forward to working closely with the Postnova team to translate this into faster development, broader applications and stronger support for our current and future customers worldwide."

Thorsten Klein, CEO of Postnova Analytics added:

"The unique, high-value technologies of LS Instruments — the LS Spectrometer II, DWS RheoLab and NanoLab 3D — are a perfect extension of our existing product portfolio and will be fully integrated into our global commercial, technical support and application-development capabilities. They provide research laboratories worldwide with advanced analytical solutions to address complex measurement challenges, generate deeper insights into materials and formulations, and accelerate the development of better-performing products. We see significant opportunities to further advance these technologies, broaden their applications and make them accessible to an even wider global research community.”

Gabriel Haering concluded:

"On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to sincerely thank all stakeholders who have supported LS Instruments throughout its journey and contributed to making this positive transition possible. Their commitment, trust and dedication have been instrumental to the company's success. We are confident that LS Instruments will continue to grow, innovate and create value for customers and stakeholders in the years ahead."
